Makayla Ray, the 2020 Burke, Dabner, Rodman Family Scholarship Program recipient is a sophomore at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Ray’s passion for art and math began early and influenced her decision to go into a STEM career. Rays says, “Knowing there are not many people who look like me, I use this as motivation and to show young kids that is it is not impossible to succeed in such a highly demanding career.
