Workforce Bullying Conversation 7/30/2020

Thursday, July 30 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

Bullying is an unfortunate and common occurrence in the American workplace. Almost 1 in 5 adults is bullied by a colleague or coworker while on the job. During our Zoom conversation, we will cover different topics in order to help define, identify, and help prevent workplace bullying. We will also learn about the resources and options that are available should one witness or be the victim of workplace bullying.  Please come prepared to engage in the conversation, so we can all walk away more confident in how to contribute to and help create a healthy working environment for ourselves and each other.

Reducing Risky Behaviors

The Reducing Risky Behaviors virtual presentation will present the risks of different sexual and non-sexual activities. Learn who is most at-risk for HIV and AIDS, what is considered risky behavior, how to reduce HIV, learning your status, and local testing and service options. #HIV

Presentacion virtual sobre como reducir comportamientos riesgosos. Esta presentacion hablara sobre los riesgos de diferentes actividades sexuales y no-sexuales . Aprende quien esta en mas riesgo de contraer VIH, que es considerado un  comportamiento riesgoso, como evitar  y reducir el VIH sabiendo tu estado  asi como tambien los  servicios y las opciones locales.

The New Reality of Attending College During a Pandemic

Thursday, July 23 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The first hour will focus on the issues that institutions of higher learning are facing as they seek to provide a quality college experience to new and returning students. During the first hour of the institutions will provide insight into: Social Distancing measures, COVID-19’s impact on enrollment,  Percentage of face to face options and financial aid options and cost decreases for students opting out of face to face attendance.

The second hour we will moderate an open discussion with top experts from HBCU’s and PWI institutions  answering questions such on topics such as Social Distancing in dorm rooms and cafeterias, Tuition Cost and adjustments, Direct impact due to COVID-19 on institutional operations. Online Platforms and options available to students that have elected to attend virtually vs. in person, Tutorial support for those that have decided to utilize the online option. Partnerships with local community colleges where students can take classes and transfer those credits into their prospective colleges or universities.
