IUL Health & Wellness and American Dairy Association of Indiana present Chef Samuel Brown and Chef Hollis Thomas
Chef Brown, Chef Thomas, and Michelle Plummer will demo healthy meal preparation featuring different carrot recipes. Chef Brown and Chef Thomas will share the history of Black and African-American cuisine followed by a virtual cooking demonstration focused on the importance of heart-healthy food in recognition of American Heart Month. They will prepare recipes highlighting the health benefits of carrots.
Cooking with Home Grown Food
This family-friendly cooking demonstration hosted in partnership with the American Dairy Association Indiana will demonstrate and discuss how to grow food at home, even in small indoor spaces! Then, watch as we demonstrate healthy recipes using foods that are easily grown at home including spinach, strawberries, and fresh herbs. The first 25 participants and any current IUL participants who register will receive pots and seeds to plant at home.
Reducing Food Waste: Cooking with Leftovers Virtual Cooking Demo
