Annual Indiana Statewide Education & Equity Convening Workshop and Luncheon

The Annual Indiana Statewide Education and Equity Convening is hosted by the Indianapolis Urban League in partnership with the National Urban League as a public forum for educators and advocates to analyze and actuate public policy.

The morning workshop opens with a “CRT Myths and Realities” Interactive Workshop with Dr. Kevin D. Brown, Richard S. Melvin Professor, Indiana University Maurer School of Law, followed by the luncheon guest speaker Teresa Lubbers, Former Indiana State Senator and Indiana Higher Education Commissioner, who will present “Challenges Facing Black & Urban Students from Secondary Institutions and Successfully Obtaining Post-Secondary Workforce Credentialing and or College Degree”.

Attendees have the option to attend the workshop and luncheon in-person at Indianapolis Urban League or watch live virtually. (In-person attendance, masks are required.)
